SCAN collaborated with WFP distribution for April, 2023. The food assistance was and is being carried out in nine main operational areas, namely Qururuxley, Booclay, Xunbo-weyne, Biyo-shiine, Gunbur-Sheikh Doon, Burcada Dararwayne, Jaleelo and Balayga-Cad. Over 1822 individual beneficiaries have received their rations in the last distribution round, i.e, in the first round. The target groups affected severe drought households and internally displaced people. To ensure that each and every beneficiary of this project had received a correct ration size as per the donor standard, a post distribution monitoring has been conducted in two kebeles even though it was planned to be undertaken in five selected kebeles.
Specific objectives
• To assess the participation of project beneficiaries during the last targeting session
• To find out the proper utilization and distribution of the food assistance as per the donor standard
• To assess the functionality and performance of complaint and feedback mechanism
• To identify the major protection issues during food distribution
