On 16th January 2025, SCAN successfully conducted a Capacity Building Training on Gender and Inclusion for staff working on the Climate Smart Food System Project in the Gabiley Region of Somaliland. The training, held at the SCAN Meeting Hall in Hargeisa from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, aimed to enhance the participants’ ability to incorporate gender-sensitive approaches into their work.

This initiative was part of SCAN’s ongoing efforts to promote gender equality and inclusion in climate action and food security projects, ensuring that all voices are heard and considered in shaping sustainable solutions for the region.

The training is expected to contribute to the successful implementation of the project by strengthening the capacity of staff to address challenges and opportunities through an inclusive and gender-responsive lens.
