The Somaliland Community Action Network (SCAN), in collaboration with the World Food Program (WFP), successfully distributed agricultural farm tools to 100 beneficiaries under the Climate Smart Agriculture initiative. This effort is part of the broader “SMART Climate: Sustainable Gabiley Region Agriculture to Enhance Resilience to Climate Change” program.
Distributed Items
Each beneficiary received:
• Farm Tools: 1 Wheelbarrow, 3 Spades, and 1 Axe
• Insecticides: 1 Ampligo and 1 Protest
• Fungicides: 1 Scoop fungicide
• Foliar Fertilizers: 1 Easy Grow Flower and Fruit fertilizer
The distribution ceremony took place in the villages of Agamsaha, Arabsiyo, Huluuq, and Biyo-Macaan, with SCAN and WFP representatives attending to support and engage with local communities.
This initiative highlights the commitment to enhancing agricultural resilience and empowering local farmers to adopt sustainable practices in the face of climate change.
