SCAN and WFP conducted a field visit to the small farmers’ Climate Smart project in Agamsaha district to assess the impact of the climate change agriculture initiative. The visit included engaging with farmers and observing their activities in the demonstration farm. After that Community Interaction happen and questions were posed to the community about their experiences and benefits from the climate-resilient agricultural practices.
Farmers shared insights on how the project has supported them in adapting to climate challenges.At time demonstration Farm Activities farmers participated in practical lessons on planting and maintaining fruit crops. Guidance was provided on sustainable agricultural techniques to enhance productivity and resilience.
The objective of visit was to strengthen understanding of the project’s impact on local farmers and farmers gained additional skills and knowledge to improve their farming practices. At least the collaboration between SCAN, WFP, and the farming community to address climate-related challenges.This visit underscored the importance of empowering small farmers to ensure sustainable agricultural development and resilience against climate change.
